Thin films of WS2 have been grown by van der Waals epitaxy (vdWE) on the basal planes of 2H-MoTe2(0001). Despite a lateral mismatch of 10.3%, epitaxial growth is achieved by metal organic vdWE (MOvdWE). In low energy electron diffraction (LEED) measurements a Moiré-like superstructure is observed originating from and correlated to the lateral mismatch between film and substrate. I–V LEED investigations in the course of sequential film growth reveal an undulation of the lattice at the interfaces as the origin of the Moiré-like structure rather than simple multiple scattering between overlayer and substrate. Ultrametastable pseudomorphic Si1−xGex layers (on (100) Si) Nike Air Max Thea Atomic Pink Uk with Ge contents x up to Nike Air Max Sale Cheap 32% and partly relaxed SiGe layers with Ge contents between 35% and 75% were grown by molecular beam epitaxy at growth temperatures between 310 and 575°C. The relation between lattice constant of the alloy layers and chemical composition (Ge content) was measured by X-ray methods (reciprocal space mapping) and by Rutherford backscattering. Slight negative deviations from the linear relationship (Vegard's law) were found which confirm very early bulk data gained by Dismukes.
