A method is described for counting the Womens Nike Air Force 1 number of macrophages which develop from a sample of human venous blood. Because the macrophages are nondividing cells under these conditions of culture, it is possible to use the count to describe the size of a population of macrophage precursors in the blood. Counts on 43 healthy individuals show that on average Cheap Nike Air Force 1 Trainers there are some 200,000/ml of blood, which is 5–6% of the total white cell count. The precursor cells are mononuclear and the majority of them will adhere to plastic. These characteristics suggest that monocytes are the precursor cells. A shortcut model is presented for vapor-compression refrigeration cycles which is expressed explicitly in terms of temperature and requires only saturated refrigerant data for evaluation. Based on this model, an index of performance for pure refrigeration is proposed. This index can be used to quickly identify thermodynamically efficient refrigerants, and to predict the performance of refrigeration cycles with very little computational effort. Examples are presented to illustrate the quality of the approximations, as well as the usefulness of the proposed model for preliminary design calculations.
